Matthew Smith

Born and raised in Cranbrook, Matthew received his accounting education locally at the College of the Rockies and University of Lethbridge. His technical grounding comes from the CPA program and hands-on work, which shaped how he approaches year-end preparation and tax problem-solving. Non-profits make up a significant part of his practice, and he understands the compliance obligations that come with that sector. When clients run into issues they don't fully understand, he works through the details with them until the path forward is clear, so they can stay focused on their operations.

Outside the office, he's kept busy by his wife and four kids, and finds time for guitar and coaching youth basketball.
