I started taking care of Avail CPA Place under the direction of ComRes Property Management in the mid-90s. In 1999 I became an employee of Avail CPA as the Building Maintenance Operator. I like that every day is different and I get to use my construction, carpentry, plumbing, and handy-man skills to keep things running for everyone in the building.
I grew up on a farm in Diamond City and in Richmond BC. I graduated from High school and went into the construction industry. I got my Inter-Provincial Carpenter Ticket at S.A.I.T. in Calgary. I like sports, going to movies, and going to see good old Rock and Roll bands. I love to hear and tell a good joke, but have a hard time remembering them.
Oahu in the Hawaiian Islands. It was 1970 and I had been out of high school about a year. I was young, free and wanted to see the world. Myself and a best friend since grade 7 and 2 other guys got on a bus in Vancouver went to Seattle, got on a brand new 747 Pan Am Jet to Oahu for $175.00 open return. We lived on the beaches and hung out with all sorts of people: Vietnam war vets, draft dodgers, con artist you name it. I turned 20 years old there that November. It opened my eyes to some great experiences and some not so great. I would do it again in heartbeat.
